Almost everyone is returning from their holiday and is already back to work or at school. This year we planned a late vacation. So when everyone was saying 'hi' to their colleagues, we said Hi to Bali and Singapore! This year we wanted to visit the Singapore Formula 1 race. We booked our return flight for Singapore and because we had 2 weeks, we booked a flight to Bali, just to hang out for a week. In this blogpost I'm going to show you our must-visit Bali spots.
Visiting the elephant park in Ubud.
Visiting the famous rice fields of Bali. Amazing.
Resort; Daun Lebar in Bali Ubud.
Wow! Bali in just one word! What a crazy organized chaos! The first night we arrived at 1 o'clock in the evening. We got ripped off for our first taxi ride, but we were just to tired to care. We slept in a beautiful hotel near the Airport and had a great breakfast. We then took a taxi to our first resort; Nandini Jungle Resort and Spa. This resort is stunning! Only 18 villa's so if you like it quiet, this is the spot! Unless you get annoyed by birds, monkeys and many more animals that live in the jungle. With a organized cooking class, morning Yoga from a Hawaiian teacher, Bali dancers and delicious food, we are in paradise! The staff is so friendly and they helped us organizing our day trips.
For just 35 Euros a day, you get a driver. He drives you everywhere you want to go and waits while you visit the hotspot or are having lunch / dinner.
We visited the rice fields, had a blessing in the famous temple, walked though Ubud and the monkey forest and did a lot more. Unfortunately we haven't seen any beaches, but we are here for just a week, so we need to come back to visit the beaches and the Gili Islands. Bali has this amazing vibe, people are so friendly, the food is amazing and crazy cheap, the nature is stunning and the traffic is crazy.
We ate at the resort often, because it was just a stunning resort and the villa we rented was so beautiful! With a view over the jungle, a beautiful sunset restaurant and an infinity pool, this resort is complete. We ended up getting a free upgrade to a near located villa called Daun Lebar. Like WOW! We had our private pool, outdoor kitchen and huge bedroom with badroom. They told us the room was honey moon ready, (we already told them we are just on holiday and didn't get married) but they just don't want to understand so everything was 'Happy Honeymoon'. We just played along ;).
The manager told us 90% of the visitors are Honey Mooners, but I guess we also are included in that 90% ;). If you wish to stay at these villas, the price is very high but you can get a great deal via Booking.com. Visit Nandinibali.com / This is not sponsored but I just really love this resort!
